ANDREW ZUBIRI is a Filipino writer whose essays have appeared in AGNI, VQR, The Threepenny Review, Ninth Letter, World Literature Today, and other publications. He is at work on an essay collection exploring material culture, migration, identity, and the tension between home and diaspora.
For over a decade, he worked in the environment and agriculture sectors of international development organizations including the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Bank. Born and raised in the Philippines, he has lived in Germany and the US. Starting Fall 2026, he will pursue an MFA in Creative Writing at George Mason University as a Presidential Scholar.
